Taylor Swift reveals song title: ‘Vigilante Shit’
Nope, not a joke! On Thursday, September 22, Taylor Swift played the second episode of her Mayhem With Me series. In this new game she invented to reveal one by one the titles of her new album’s tracks, she draws balls from a basket like in a lottery game. She reveals the song’s title according to the number on the ball.
And yes, drawing on Thursday, she picked up ball No. 8, which turns out to be the track titled ‘Vigilante Shit’. It’s the first time a curse word appears in Swift’s song titles.
Having a first go at the game earlier this week, the artist had picked number 13 – which, as fan didn’t fail to notice, is Taylor Swift’s lucky number – revealing the track ‘Mastermind’. The album Midnights, which is the artist’s tenth album is due out on October 21.
Swift awarded ‘Songwriter-Artist of the Decade’
On Tuesday September 20, Taylor Swift received the Nashville Songwriters Association International’s Songwriter-Artist of the Decade Award at the NSAI’s annual ceremony. The award credits her ten-year career as one of the most influential, praising both her writing lyrics and music.
Swift then delivered an acceptance speech: “This award celebrates my family and my co-writers and my team.” she stated. “My friends and my fiercest fans and my harshest detractors and everyone who entered my life or left it. Because when it comes to my songwriting and my life, they are one and the same.”
In recent news, it was hinted that Swift would go on tour in 2023. The info arrived before the artist broke the news of her new album. It now seems more than possible she’ll actually be touring next year to support the release of Midnights.
