Paramore : back together after the hiatus
Paramore have been unmissable in the emo and alternative rock scene since 2004 and their album All We Know Is Falling. Hayley Williams and her crew have managed to stay on top of their game for more than a decade, building up a huge community of fans.
In 2017, the band released their fifth album, After Laugh. Shortly after, they announced to their saddened fans that they will split, the time to focus on personal projects. Hayley Williams released two solo albums, Petals for Armor and Flowers for Vases/Descansos. Drummer Zac Farro also had his share of fun, releasing Motif with HalfNoise.
Recently, in a newsletter, the band hinted at an upcoming reunion. And it is now official !
Paramore : a new album and a Tour for 2022 ?
We now know for sure that Paramore will be releasing a new album pretty soon ! The band has revealed in an interview with our colleagues at Rolling Stones being recording some material for their sixth opus :
“We wrote and tracked something we loved and it actually surprised us. We kept joking it was all downhill from that point, but thank God we’ve been surprised a lot throughout this whole thing. I’m always waiting for the moment for us to know we’re onto something new and we’re not just rehashing the same shit. It was ‘Ain’t It Fun’ for our self-titled record, and ‘Hard Times’ or ‘Told You So’ for After Laughter. It’s not about it feeling like a hit so much as it’s a scary, exciting feeling that you’re treading uncharted waters.(...) We got to feel that feeling early on this time.”
Paramore didn’t announce any release date for now, but Alex bets on a late 2022 release. As for a supporting Tour, we may have to wait until next year ! We will keep an eye on any announcement for you, and will keep you updated as soon as possible !
