Billy Joel confirmed for 2023’s BST Hyde Park
The singer-songwriter just announced he was to count as the headliners for 2023’s BST Hyde Park festival in London! And it will be his ONLY European concert in 2023. Joel will headline the Great Oak Stage and celebrate his 50-year music career. His very first album Cold Spring Harbor was released in 1971.
Billy Joel will perform on Friday July 7, during BST Hyde Park’s 10th anniversary festival, making it two anniversaries. The 73-year-old American musician and pop icon joins another heavyweight. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band recently made their way to the BST Hyde Park billing! They’ll perform on July 6 and 8.

Billy Joel to release his Live At Yankee Stadium film
Billy Joel is also about to share a 1990 live film Live At Yankee Stadium. the film will be screened in cinemas next week (October 5 and 9) to celebrate the musician’s 50 years in music. The concert is on of Joel’s most memorable. It made him the first-ever rock performer to play the sporting venue. You can watch the trailer below.
“Billy Joel’s legendary 1990 concert at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx stands as one of the greatest concert films of all time,” the film synopsis reads. “Shot in 16mm colour film, the original concert has now been meticulously re-mixed and re-edited.
“The newly edited version includes a never-before-released performance of ‘Uptown Girl’, along with interviews from Billy and behind-the-scenes footage from the event’s production. The set list consists of re-edited versions of songs from the original film including ‘Piano Man’, ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’, ‘New York State Of Mind’, ‘Shout’ and more, all performed from ‘The House That Ruth Built’.”
