Arctic Monkeys share first single from new album: watch the music video

Watch the video for ‘There’d Better Be A Mirrorball’ by Arctic Monkeys

It’s official, Arctic Monkeys have returned with the lead single from their forthcoming seventh album, The Car. It’s called ‘There’d Better Be A Mirrorball’ and the music video that you can watch below was directed by Alex Turner himself.

The single arrives a few days after the band set ablaze the stages of the Reading and Leeds festival (which took place from August 26 to 28). It’s their first new music in four years. They previously aired another new track during their set at the Zurich Openair festival in Switzerland, but ‘There’d Better Be A Mirrorball’ is their first official release.

The band will share their new album on October 21

The single arrives a few days after the announcement of a new album by the band, who had been quiet for several years. The song ‘I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am’ they performed at the Zurich Openair Festival actually preceded the news by a day. The album called The Car will arrive on October 21. It follows up to their 2018 effort Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino.

No tour for Europe or the UK is on the table yet. However, fans can expect to hear some of the new songs during their already-scheduled Australia tour. They have planned a three-date run in the country in January 2023 with concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. You can find any of the remaining tickets here (Alex is here to pick them up for you).
