After countless rumours and speculations, it looks as if My Bloody Valentine’s return is finally official. Their new album should be released next Spring.
Colm Ó Cíosóig spills the beans
A couple of months ago, a simple sentence on My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields bio released for the Reykjavik festival ‘NORÐUR OG NIÐUR’ got fans talking: “working on material for a new My Bloody Valentine album to be released in 2018″. More than just a rumour, it has now been confirmed that the Irish rockers will indeed be releasing their fourth album sooner than expected.
Founding member of the band, drummer Colm Ó Cíosóig gave his fans something to get really excited about during a recent radio interview.
I’ve been working on that [album]preceding this tour and I’m going to go back and work on that once the tour is done. It’s in the making.
It’s been four years since the band’s last album, “m b v”, and now fans finally have something to look forward to. Just a few more months until we get to hear My Bloody Valentine’s new album, and who know, we could even get a sneak preview in the coming months.
